Orford Walk

Orford Walk was recorded in the summer of 2009 at the Orford Center for the Arts in Orford, Québec. The recording setup consisted of 2 DPA 4060 microphones and a Sound Devices 702 recorder. This work contains no sound processing or editing. This recording begins in the wooded area outside of the campgrounds and continues with a walk towards the music camp area and into one of its buildings. A transformation of sound occurs moving from the purely natural sounds of the forest to the human sounds emerging from the music camp. This project would not have been possible without the access to high-fidelity mobile recording equipment generously provided by the Orford Sound Creation Workshop.
